Welcome to Our Event
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDx Harker Heights, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDx Harker Heights event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual events, including ours, are self organized.

Our Inspiration
Regardless of your discipline, being an influence takes courage, boldness, guts, and resilience. To be an influence, one must see a need for change and embody the knowledge, skills, and abilities inherent in that role in order to become an agent of that change. The same notion applies to the community. We believe that individuals influence communities and communities influence the world.

"Never Underestimate the power of dreams and the influence of the human spirit. We are all in this notion: the potential for greatness lives within each of us."
